Nipple piercings are a super cute addition to your piercing collection, but there are many questions that you will probably want to have answered before you dive in and get them!
I am going to cover most of these frequently asked questions in a Q & A format!
Q: I have inverted nipples, can I get them pierced?
A: Nipple piercings are sometimes used to correct inverted nipples! The piercer will pop the nipple out to pierce it, and the jewelry will hold the nipple out in its place. After a while, the nipple should remain in this position.
Q: Will I be able to breastfeed after having my nipples pierced?
A: You definitely should not breastfeed WITH your nipple piercings in, they should be removed prior to feeding, but overall having your nipples pierced should not cause any complications while breastfeeding. It is also important that your nipple piercings are fully healed before breast feeding as well!
Q: How long does a nipple piercing take to heal?
A: As always, this depends on the consistency of your aftercare practices, but generally nipple piercings take anywhere from 6 to 12 months to heal.
Q: What kind of jewelry is suitable for nipple piercings?
A: You can put in any hoops that are the correct gauge, or there are lots of jewelry types specially made for nipple piercings!
Q: When can I sleep on my nipple piercings?
A: You should try not to sleep on your nipple piercings until they are fully healed!
Q: Do nipple piercings show with a bra?
A: With a lightly padded bra you should not be able to see the piercings! With an unlined bra or no bra though you will most likely see them through your clothes.
Q: Can I get just on nipple pierced?
A: You can absolutely get just one nipple piercing!
And for inspiration, here is my absolute favorite nipple piercing photo ever!
I hope you found this informative and now feel more prepared and motivated to move forward with your nipple piercings!
Until next week,
