The time for Spring Cleaning is HERE! Your piercings are no exemption to the yearly clean out and clean up ritual. It's no secret to any piercing/earring enthusiast that over time your jewelry will get a build up of skin cells and gunk on them, killing the shine and changing your ear's vibe!
You deserve to feel ✨refreshed ✨ and a clean, shiny set of piercings will make you feel just that! In this blog I'm walking you through my spring piercing cleaning routine in hopes that you feel inspired to follow suit and fall in love with your piercings all over again!
To start, you'll need a bowl, antibacterial soap, paper towels, a few q-tips, a soft tooth brush (for cleaning jewelry ONLY!), and a good spot to set up next to a sink.
First, take your antibacterial soap and drop a quarter sized amount into your bowl.
Then, remove all of your piercing jewelry CAREFULLY so no pieces fall into the sink.
Next, warm up your water to a comfortably hot temperature and add water to the soap in your bowl. Then, stir your mixture around with your designated toothbrush.
First and foremost I always take a few q tips, swish them around in my water/soap mixture and gently clean off each of my piercing holes on both ears. While you're cleaning your ears, put your jewelry in the bowl and allow it to soak for a few minutes.
Once your piercing holes are clean, take your toothbrush and gently clean each piece of jewelry in the bowl. After scrubbing, rinse the jewelry and set it out on a paper towel to dry. Make sure you put a paper towel over the drain while rinsing your jewelry so there's no chance it will get dropped down the sink!
You can allow your jewelry to air dry or you can pat it dry with an additional napkin Be careful not to drop any jewelry as sometimes it will stick to your paper towel!
You're now ready to put your jewelry back in, and enjoy your renewed, refreshed look! 🙌🏻
Spring cleaning is also a great time to evolve your look with some new jewelry choices as well 🥰
You can repeat this routine monthly like I do for a constantly shining look ✨
Until Next Time,
