It's time for an update on the healing experience of my conch, daith, and 3 flat piercings! For those of you that haven't seen the first two parts to this mini-series, I will link them below!
Here are some updated pictures:
I am still cleaning them once a day with dial antibacterial soap mixed with warm water on a q-tip. I am sleeping on the side with the conch piercing, and being sure NOT to lay on the triple flats, even though that's my favorite sleeping side!
As you can see I have changed the jewelry in all of the new piercings besides my daith- I did this around day 20, because the swelling went down in the triple flats and I kept accidentally hitting the 10mm labrets! It was time to downsize so that bumps didn't develop from me bumping them.
I changed them to 8mm titanium labrets and my ear seems to like them much more than the surgical steel!
My conch still has the same 8mm titanium labret that I changed it to on day 16, and there is no more pain in it and only little bit of swelling.
As you can see I have developed a small bump on the top part of my daith, and I'm hoping that it will go away soon, but the swelling there has gone down tremendously in the last week so that is a good sign!
The only negative thing about this whole experience so far is the extreme ITCHINESS of everything healing! It's not bad when I remember to clean them every evening, but if I forget a day (let's be honest life happens and we don't all clean our piercings perfectly every day!) they get SUPER itchy! I guess its my body's way of reminding me that I need to clean them, so it's okay.
For now they are just doing their own thing- healing up and not hurting much at all!
Overall I would say these have been ten times easier to heal than traditional helix piercings!
I will update you all again in a few weeks!
Until next week,
