If you have a lot of piercings and live for the cutest piercing vibes like me, chances are you change your jewelry often. This blog compiles a list of simple time and sanity-saving tips that I have collected over the years and want to share to help you in your piercing journey! If you find any of them useful please post this blog to your fave social media account and/or reach out and let me know what you thought of this blog @kourtney.spiritadornments on Instagram!
✭ When you are dealing with internally threaded jewelry, you need to have a soft hand. Don't ever twist the threads as tightly as possible- doing so can cause the threads to bend and ultimately become useless. This is what has happened when your top endlessly spins and spins, then you end up losing part of your jewelry!
✭ Set a scheduled time each day to check each of your piercings! I check mine each night after showering. If you have threaded jewelry, make sure your tops didn't get loose since your last check and make sure none of your piercings are irritated or developing a bump. Daily checks result in no lost jewelry, and catching problems as they arise gives you a huge head start to finding a solution and maintaining happy piercings!
✭ Threadless jewelry exists, is growing in popularity, and is a no brainer! Threadless jewelry makes it easy to use the same tops for many different jewelry styles/sizes, ultimately offering you more options for your look. It may seem intimidating at first, but check out this simple how-to video and see how simple the process is!
✭ If your threading is stuck and you can't seem to get the ball or top off of your jewelry, use a rubber glove to grip each side! You can easily loosen most jewelry with this method.
✭ You should have a collective note on your phone of physical note where you have all of your piercings gauge and jewelry sizes written down! Once you know the size of all of your piercings getting new jewelry is a fun adventure, not a confusing task! Every time you get a new piercing, add it to your list.
✭ Tapers are a time-saving tool that help you change your ear piercings with labret style jewelry extremely easily! Since you have to insert labrets from the back, they can often be daunting to change. Simply insert the taper from the front of the piercing, place the labret onto the back of the taper, and push the labret through the piercing from the back using the taper as a guide. Viola! You'll never again be stuck trying to find the back of the piercing for hours!
I hope these six simple tips were helpful, and I can't wait to hear from you!
Until next week,
